At Ex-Government Furniture we have had a lot of Schiavello furniture come through our doors… and for good reason. Their work is high quality, with innovative design and aesthetically beautiful – making them an incredibly popular choice for furniture for the home and office. Everything that Schiavello claim to stand for, they deliver when it comes to furniture, and their wider business.

Some more information about the Schiavello below if you haven’t already seen what we have written about them previously…

Schiavello was established as a humble partition supply business in 1966 by the Schiavello brothers, and through hard work and dedication they evolved from simple furniture design, to creating and service working and living environments across a wide range of industries including workspace, hospitality, health, retail, residential and education. The business now has over 1300 staff, twelve showrooms and multiple manufacturing plants.

Schiavello is built on a foundation of traditional values and future-thinking, dedicated to a legacy of relationships and places that add value to people’s lives. Through a culture of learning and entrepreneurship, Schiavello strive to challenge their own thinking and work collaboratively in order to drive innovation and deliver the best possible solutions for their customers and clients.

Schiavello believe that the product they create must empower both the people using it and the culture of the space they are placed within. They also believe that quality is paramount, and this is why they are industry leaders.

Now to the new Schiavello product we have in store…

The Toro table. Understated form + unique design = a modern classic.

Designed by Australian interior architect and designer Ivan Woods, this table is a reflection not only of the shared values of Woods and Schiavello, but also of its namesake - Toro meaning “bull” in Spanish. The slim legs of this square table sit wider than the top, which is inspired by the poised stance of a bull ready to charge, and the angle of the legs echoes the elegant directions of a matador during a Spanish bullfight. This unique form creates a distinct, angular silhouette that can only be defined as tasteful and poised.

The precision of technology and the warmth of hand craftsmanship is always at the forefront of every Schiavello piece, and Toro’s acute yet refined appearance is bolstered by the quality of linework and joinery. High-strength glued dowel and butt joints are used instead of metal fasteners to provide strong structural support, and, as always, the highest quality materials are employed to ensure absolute excellence and durability.

The understated form of the table is also highlighted through the natural beauty of wood, in this case a natural oak finish. This finish, coupled with its simple but stylish design, make the Toro table a versatile addition into any environment. And with a height of 720mm this table is perfect for an office meeting table, a café table or even to be used in your home.

Don’t miss your chance to own an absolute design classic that will endure the test of time.
