Schiavello Kayt Coffee Tables by Ivan Woods

esigned by Australian interior architect Ivan Woods for Schiavello, these compact coffee tables form part of the Kayt collection — one of the most recognisable results of Woods’ longstanding collaboration with the Australian manufacturer.

Woods spent more than 30 years working across commercial interiors, workplace design and furniture. His work with Schiavello is characterised by restrained lines and fine detailing, an approach seen throughout the Kayt collection.

That restraint is particularly clear in these tables. The glossy polar-white top has softly rounded corners and a fine dark edge. The polished chrome frame curves continuously beneath and around the top, giving an otherwise simple square table its distinctive profile while keeping the overall form visually light.

Their compact scale makes them particularly easy pieces to live with. They sit naturally alongside lounge seating in reception, waiting and breakout areas, but work equally well in a residential living space where a larger coffee table might dominate. Used individually, as a pair or grouped together, their restrained proportions allow them to sit comfortably without overwhelming the surrounding furniture.
